Letter to Supreme Court on DACA and COVID-19
Today, the legal team for Batalla Vidal - one of the cases challenging the Trump Administration’s attempt to end the DACA program - filed a supplemental letter with the United States Supreme Court discussing the tremendous impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the Court’s decision. DACA healthcare professionals are essential workers on the frontlines in our nation’s fight against COVID-19, helping to support their communities and save lives. The letter notes that “termination of DACA at this time would be catastrophic.” JAC’s founder & director, Karen Tumlin, is cooperating counsel to the Jerome N. Frank Legal Services Organization at Yale Law School on the case.
