The fight ahead

For the past 14 years, timely renewals have allowed thousands of DACA recipients to support their families and contribute to their communities in the U.S. Every two years, you have paid the filing fees, submitted your biometrics, and complied with every request of the U.S. government.

Now, USCIS is failing to keep its end of the bargain β€” leaving thousands waiting months longer for renewals that the agency claims to process within 120-150 days. Work permits expire. Jobs are lost. Families are destabilized.

In May 2026, JAC filed a Freedom of Information Act request to find out what’s really happening inside USCIS.
