The Government Is Breaking Its Promise to DACA Recipients
Since November 2025, DACA recipients nationwide have experienced prolonged delays in the adjudication of their DACA renewal applications. Despite submitting renewals within USCIS’s recommended 120–150-day window, many are falling out of status while their applications remain frozen. These gaps in status have drastic consequences, such as losing:
- work authorizations,
- health insurance,
- driver’s licenses, real IDs, and
- protection against deportation.
For the past 14 years, timely renewals have allowed thousands of DACA recipients to support their families and contribute to their communities in the U.S. — their home. Every two years, you have paid their filing fees, submitted their biometric information, and complied with every ask of the U.S. government.
The government is failing to keep its end of the bargain. We’re demanding answers.
